Typographic Art Studio is a browser-based creative tool that transforms any portrait photograph into a stunning piece of typographic artwork. Instead of pixels of flat color, your image is reconstructed entirely from characters — your own words, lyrics, a poem, or any meaningful text you choose.

The result is a high-resolution, print-ready A4 PDF where every letter carries the exact color of the pixel it replaces, creating a seamless fusion of photography and typography.

⚙️ How It Works

The generation pipeline runs entirely in your browser — no servers, no uploads, no data leaving your device.

  1. Upload & Crop — You select a portrait. The built-in Cropper.js tool lets you frame the subject perfectly at an A4 proportion (210 × 297 mm).
  2. Analyse Pixels — The cropped image is drawn onto an HTML5 Canvas element. Each pixel's RGB color value is sampled at the chosen resolution.
  3. Map Characters — Your input text loops continuously, placing one character per pixel. Each character inherits the exact color of its corresponding pixel.
  4. Generate PDF — jsPDF renders every colored character onto a black A4 canvas and packages it into a downloadable PDF file — no server required.
